Testimonials

Jamie, high school saxophone student

“I really love my lessons with Emma, she’s really personable and approachable. I’ve had previous music teachers that made me apprehensive about asking questions or messing up, but Emma has been supportive and understanding throughout my private lesson journey. My band teachers have noted a marked improvement after starting lessons with her, and I truly feel more confident and comfortable on the saxophone. I’d absolutely recommend lessons with Emma!”

Liz, parent of long-time saxophone and bass clarinet student

“Individual music lessons with Emma Germann for the past three years have benefitted by child enormously. The one-on-one positive encouragement and instruction that Emma has tailored specifically to my child have helped my child grow as a musician from junior high to high school. Emma’s instruction has been especially helpful for solo and ensemble preparation.”

As an educator with over 20 years of experience, I've had the opportunity to work with many professionals across different fields, and I can confidently say that Emma Germann is an outstanding music tutor. Her dedication to nurturing a deep understanding and appreciation of music in her students' lives is truly inspiring. Emma has a unique ability to connect with her students, making complex musical concepts accessible and enjoyable. She is genuinely committed to her students' success and well-being. It's clear from the beginning that students don't just learn to play an instrument; under Ms. Germann's guidance, they embark on a lifelong journey of musical exploration and personal growth. Since starting lessons with Ms. Emma, my 8th-grade son has gained a significant amount of confidence in playing the saxophone. He says the best aspects of private music lessons with Ms. Emma include her ability to explain things in a way he understands and the ease of asking questions without interrupting a whole band lesson.
